what is the difference b/w faith and self confidence.. in urself..
i believe faith is built upon not knowing anything... as in, u jez believe deep inside that u can achieve it and u take an absolute risk plunging into it. self confidence on the other hand seems to be derived from calculated risk.. u weigh the pros and cons.. u measure the chances of success, u gather past history of success to gain that confidence in urself- then only do u launch into it.
which one is better? beats me. but faith sure seems to be a more powerful tool.
in a christian's perspective.. i think one should never haf confidence in God but rather faith- we can't believe in him simply because of the miracles He had done..the bible and all. cuz thats trying to base ur faith on confidence of the past.. faith is abt the present and the future.. We find it difficult to have faith in ourselves simply because we are not clairvoyants (or however u spell it). The difference with God is that we can have faith in him because He noes the plans He has for us.. and its plans to prosper.. not destroy. Faith in God means entrusting Him full authorithy of our lives.
